How to Fix Windows 7 Slow Start Up

By Shane Z

Is your Windows 7 slower on start up? Wondering how to make Windows 7 super fast? There are various reasons why this operating system performs slower but one common reason is that mostly it happens because of too many start up programs and services running in the background.

Below are outlined few steps to fix Windows 7 slow start up.

Clean registry with reliable registry cleaner and system optimizer tool.

You can manually shorten the list of start up items through following steps.

  1. Click on Start button.

  2. Go to Run.

  3. Type MSCONFIG and press Enter.

  4. In the System Configuration Utility go to Startup tab.

  5. Here you can uncheck those programs you do not want to start.

  6. Now go to Services and disable unnecessary Services.

Always be careful while disabling services because few of them are important for Windows.

Defrag your system registry with third party PC optimizer.

You may also use Disk defragmenter which is a separate thing from the registry defragmeter. You can ignore this step if your Windows 7 is relatively new.

a. Click on Start.

b. Go to All Programs and then Accessories.

c. Click on System Tools and move to Disk Defragmenter.

d. Done

Above steps are really helpful while to fix Windows 7 slow start up. However, there is one popular tool named Registry Cleaner and PC optimizer that you can use to fix this issue without spending too much time dealing with various components yourself.

Using third party tool is important because you cannot deal with sensitive part of operating system yourself. Mostly problems occur because of internal Windows settings. Even if you are successful by manually performing above steps, you cannot do that regularly.

If you have done everything but still Windows-7 is slow on the start up then you can quickly turn a slower computer in to a fast running machine here with Intel Software Partner Fix > Slow Windows 7 [http://ibx.intel.com/directory/productpage/tabid/85/language/en-us/p-4869-reginout-pc-optimizer-reg-cleaner.aspx].

Make Your ?I Do' Last Forever

(NewsUSA) – In between the guest list, the flowers and the perfect three-tier cake, it can be hard to find time to shop for your wedding rings. However, it is important to remember that most of the wedding details are fleeting and gone after a few hours of enjoyment, while your rings are enjoyed forever. So, whether you are having a smaller gathering or a more traditional affair, this important to-do on your event checklist should not be overlooked, especially since your rings mark your commitment to one another and will last a lifetime.

Jewelry and style expert Michael O’Connor has a few tips that are sure to help you find matrimonial bliss when it comes to ring selection:

  • Create a budget. There are many details to consider when planning a wedding that can quickly drain your budget. It is important to set aside money for a lifelong symbol like your wedding bands. Not sure how much to budget? Consider that in 2006, couples spent an average of $2,079 on wedding bands, according to the CN American Wedding Study. And since the age-old rule for purchasing an engagement ring is to spend two months salary, plan to spend one month’s salary for the two wedding bands. Check out the “Budget Calculator” at www.TheKnot.com.

  • Shop together. It is a good idea to shop for rings together. In fact, 80 percent of couples do, which isn’t a surprise since your rings, which don’t have to match, should reflect your personal styles and tastes.

  • Plan ahead. Don’t wait until the last minute to go shopping for your wedding bands, they’re simply too important. Plan to start shopping for your rings six months prior to your “I do’s.” Not only do you need time to research and shop, but you also need to allot time for custom orders, sizing and engraving.

  • Invest in quality. Because you want your ring to last a lifetime, it is important to put thought into the quality of metal you choose. Platinum 950 is the most durable precious metal and will last a lifetime. It’s 30 times more rare than gold, and for wedding bands set with diamonds, its natural whiteness will ensure the diamonds sparkle and stay secure. It is no wonder that Hollywood’s A-list designers such as Tacori, DeBeers, Ritani and Kwiat are all choosing Platinum in their designs. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be a star to own a Platinum ring. Platinum engagement and wedding rings are available for a wide variety of budgets -; making it an affordable luxury. Some resources that offer popular price points include Lieberfarb, Scott Kay and Blue Nile. “As the ultimate metal, Platinum’s unmatched durability and beauty make it a top pick among designers and 81 percent of brides,” said Michael O’Connor.

Honeymooners Are Opting for the Romance, Adventure of Cruises

(NewsUSA) – There are 2.5 million weddings in the United States each year, and the weddings business is a $40 billion annual industry, including the ceremony, reception, bachelor(-ette) parties and honeymoon.

Increasingly, newlyweds are opting for a cruise for a cost-effective and carefree honeymoon. About 5,000 weddings and vow renewals happen on cruises every year, and cruises now account for 15 percent of all honeymoons.

The inclusive nature of a cruise is a leading factor in the decision. A cruise provides a week of great food, pampering and entertainment for about $2,500 or less per person.

Most newlyweds say they prefer a week in a fun-and-sun destination. That makes cruises doubly attractive, since they visit several ports and offer a selection of shore tours.

Though the Hawaiian Islands remain the all-time favorite honeymoon destination, many newlyweds are choosing cruises in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

And there’s no more romantic way to experience the wonders of the Med or Caribbean than a weeklong voyage aboard a tall ship. Star Clippers’ three sailing ships only carry up to 170 or 227 guests, and visit some of the world’s most exotic destinations.

Aboard Star Clippers, newlyweds can experience the luxury of a private yacht while sailing to smaller, lesser-known destinations big cruise ships can’t visit.

Star Clippers’ relaxed yet elegant shipboard atmosphere is the perfect antidote to months of wedding planning. Yet, the emphasis on beach time and water sports, and the array of soft-adventure excursions offered provide opportunities for couples to share new experiences as they start their life together.

Whether it’s a fabulous honeymoon sailing through the Greek Isles, a barefoot wedding set on a Caribbean beach or a sunset vow-renewal ceremony performed by a ship’s captain, Star Clippers offers the romance of a true sailing experience.

Is Faith Really a Good Thing?

Is Faith Really a Good Thing?

(NewsUSA) – Turn on the TV, go online or stream music, and it may seem like there is no place for faith in our culture. People — especially young people — will share just about any detail of their personal lives, except when it comes to their faith. Many are reluctant or even embarrassed to share how their faith makes them who they are.

Despite this trend, there are tens of millions of Americans who still value their faith tremendously, and they want to make faith more visible. Thanks to a fast-growing social media movement (www.FaithCounts.net) people, regardless of their religion, are openly celebrating their faith — because they believe faith is a very good thing. How is faith good? Let us count the ways.

  1. Faith inspires, empowers and comforts billions of people the world over. And that makes people of faith happier.

  2. People and organizations are motivated by their faith to help millions of people every single day, in soup kitchens, hospitals, schools and homeless shelters.

  3. People of faith live longer.

  4. People of faith are more engaged in civic life.

  5. People of faith are more likely to be law-abiding citizens.

  6. People of faith are more generous and charitable.

  7. Faith has the power to add deep spiritual meaning and help people survive the most challenging times.

And last but not least, a basic teaching of every major world religion asks that we treat others as we ourselves would want to be treated. If more people followed this Golden Rule, that alone would be a positive influence on society. And that’s reason enough to promote the value of faith.

What does the future hold for faith in America? Nobody knows for sure, but those who value their faith can help push back against current trends by visiting www.FaithCounts.net and sharing with friends. FaithCounts.net showcases compelling stories about faith through videos, uplifting quotes, articles and images. Hopefully, more people will feel inspired, and ultimately feel good about expressing how their faith makes them who they are.

These are small steps, but they are making a big difference, and FaithCounts.net can help restore the value of faith in America.

Air Force Vet Overcomes PTSD and Sleep Disorder With Medical Foods

(NewsUSA) – After serving four years in the Army and six in the U.S. Air Force, Christi J. Cook of Harbor Beach, Mich. left the military the same way many service members do — proud and dutiful, yet struggling with a wrecked body and a civilian life she had never known.

For Cook, joining the military was the plan since adolescence, the desire to serve embedded in her genes dating back to her ancestors in the Revolutionary War. But she wasn’t prepared to face the condition of her body once she left the military.

While in the Air Force, Cook suffered a hit from a scud missile overseas that resulted in exposure to an unidentified toxic nerve agent. The physical consequences were widespread for the young woman in her mid-twenties: heart arrhythmia, memory loss, bladder irregularity, gastrointestinal issues, arthritis, migraines, severe insomnia and unbearable muscle pain.

After years of physical therapy, antibiotics and prescription medication that provided little to no relief, Cook couldn’t sleep for more than 45 minutes at a time, sit in a car for prolonged periods or enjoy a day without debilitating pain. It wasn’t until a year ago that she finally found an effective way to cope with her symptoms.

“I was on a lot of antibiotics, a lot of pain killers, and none of it really worked. A lot of it masked the pain, but it was just like a boomerang. It came back and it usually came back worse,” explained the 42-year-old, now a mother of two. “I tried so many things, and then when I started taking medical foods Sentra PM and AM, it was the first time in decades that I had any energy.”

Sentra PM and Sentra AM are FDA-regulated, prescription-only medical foods that provide the precursors to the neurotransmitters needed for restorative sleep, while reducing fatigue and managing the increased nutritional requirements of fibromyalgia, respectively.

Medical foods, like those developed by Targeted Medical Pharma, Inc., help patients meet the increased nutritional requirements of chronic disease, including pain syndromes, peripheral neuropathy, hypertension, obesity and sleep and cognitive disorders.

By the time Cook discovered a solution, she was battling multiple diagnoses: post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), minor depression, fibromyalgia, traumatic arthritis and migraines.

“I get hyper-vigilant. I don’t like to be in a crowd, I kind of panic in a crowd. Even going to church or grocery shopping was extremely difficult,” Cook said, describing her PTSD symptoms, many of which only grew worse.

But Cook’s insomnia was the most challenging — until she found medical foods. In less than a week, Cook said, the tension began to ebb away. Now, it’s the only thing she takes, and she recommends it to everyone. Learn more about Rx-only medical foods at www.targetedmedicalpharma.com.

12 Independence Day Quotes to Celebrate the 4th of July

The 4th of July is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with some inspirational and patriotic Independence Day quotes? For those who are true to the Red, White and Blue, here are twelve patriotic Independence Day quotes to help you celebrate the birth of our nation.

  1. “He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself.” ~ Thomas Paine

  2. “You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism.” ~ Erma Bombeck

  3. “Those who won our independence believed liberty to be the secret of happiness and courage to be the secret of liberty.” ~ Louis D. Brandeis

  4. “America is much more than a geographical fact. It is a political and moral fact – the first community in which men set out in principle to institutionalize freedom, responsible government, and human equality.” ~ Adlai Stevenson

  5. “For what avail the plough or sail, or land or life, if freedom fail?” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

  6. “Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.” ~ Abraham Lincoln

  7. “We must be free not because we claim freedom, but because we practice it.” ~ William Faulkner

  8. “As we have throughout this century, we will lead with the power of our example, but be prepared, when necessary, to make an example of our power.” ~ Bill Clinton

  9. “America did not invent human rights. In a very real sense … human rights invented America.” ~ Jimmy Carter

  10. “America is a tune. It must be sung together.” ~ Gerald Stanley Lee

  11. “This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.” ~ Elmer Davis

  12. “If our country is worth dying for in time of war let us resolve that it is truly worth living for in time of peace.” ~ Hamilton Fish

As we celebrate with picnics, fireworks and barbecues this July fourth, let’s remember exactly what it is we’re celebrating. Bravery. Triumph. Freedom. A nation that bows to no other and protects the rights and freedoms of those that live within its borders. These twelve Independence Day quotes are a good start.

Military dad surprises his daughter ‪#‎HappyFathersDay‬

To my wonderful father on Father's Day

To my wonderful Father on father's Day To my wonderful Father

To my wonderful Father on Father’s Day…You have been there for me, on matter what bad choices I might have made. You lovingly repaired my broken spirit, helped me plot a new course, and set me free with to fly on my own once again. There is no greater love than that.

To my wonderful father on Father's Day

Famous Fathers Day Poems

Author: Paul Banas

fathers day poems fathers day poems

Buying Dad ties, power tools, ball game tickets, and other gifts for Father’s Day are all acceptable ways to thank dad. We tend to go for more sentimental ideas, though writing on a poem on a card attached to a gift goes over pretty well too.

Your kids can easily write their own poems as well. Just start with “Roses are red, Violets are blue,” and have them finish the rest. Even the grouchiest of dads can’t resist a young child reading an ode to them.

Here are a few noted Fathers Day poems. Some are a bit corny; some are more literary. It’s up to you to write your own card, or decide what fits your dad best.

Father’s Day Poem #1: A Poem for Dads

Though we may not shower him with praise

Nor mention his name in song,

Though sometimes it seems that we forget

The joy he spreads as he goes along,

It doesn’t mean that we don’t know

The wonderful role that he has had.

And away down deep in every heart

There’s a place that is just for Dad…..

– Anonymous

Father’s Day Poem #2: Admiring fathers

Look at him there in his stovepipe hat,

His high-top shoes, and his handsome collar;

Only my Daddy could look like that,

And I love my Daddy like he loves his Dollar.

– William Jay Smith

Father’s Day Poem #3: To My Father

It matters not that Time has shed

His thawless snow upon your head,

For he maintains, with wondrous art,

Perpetual summer in your heart.

– William Hamilton Hayne

Father’s Day Poem #4: The Child Is Father to the Man

“The child is father to the man.”

How can he be? The words are wild.

Suck any sense from that who can:

“The child is father to the man.”

No; what the poet did write ran,

“The man is father to the child.”

“The child is father to the man!”

How can he be? The words are wild.

– Gerard Manley Hopkins

Father’s Day Poem #5: The Little Boy Lost

“Father! Father! where are you going?

O do not walk so fast.

Speak, father, speak to your little boy,

Or else I shall be lost.”

The night was dark, no father was there;

The child was wet with dew;

The mire was deep, & the child did weep,

And away the vapor flew.

– William Blake

Father’s Day Poem #6: Anecdote for Fathers

I have a boy of five years old;

His face is fair and fresh to see;

His limbs are cast in beauty’s mould,

And dearly he loves me.

One morn we strolled on our dry walk,

Our quiet home all full in view,

And held such intermitted talk

As we are wont to do.

My thoughts on former pleasures ran;

I thought of Kilve’s delightful shore,

Our pleasant home when spring began,

A long, long year before.

A day it was when I could bear

Some fond regrets to entertain;

With so much happiness to spare,

I could not feel a pain.

The green earth echoed to the feet

Of lambs that bounded through the glade,

From shade to sunshine, and as fleet

From sunshine back to shade.

Birds warbled round me – and each trace

Of inward sadness had its charm;

Kilve, thought I, was a favored place,

And so is Liswyn farm.

My boy beside me tripped, so slim

And graceful in his rustic dress!

And, as we talked, I questioned him,

In very idleness.

“Now tell me, had you rather be,”

I said, and took him by the arm,

“On Kilve’s smooth shore, by the green sea,

Or here at Liswyn farm?”

In careless mood he looked at me,

While still I held him by the arm,

And said, “At Kilve I’d rather be

Than here at Liswyn farm.”

“Now, little Edward, say why so:

My little Edward, tell me why.” –

“I cannot tell, I do not know.” –

“Why, this is strange,” said I;

“For, here are woods, hills smooth and warm:

There surely must some reason be

Why you would change sweet Liswyn farm

For Kilve by the green sea.”

At this, my boy hung down his head,

He blushed with shame, nor made reply;

And three times to the child I said,

“Why, Edward, tell me why?”

His head he raised – there was in sight,

It caught his eye, he saw it plain –

Upon the house-top, glittering bright,

A broad and gilded vane.

Then did the boy his tongue unlock,

And eased his mind with this reply:

“At Kilve there was no weather-cock;

And that’s the reason why.”

O dearest, dearest boy! my heart

For better lore would seldom yearn,

Could I but teach the hundredth part

Of what from thee I learn.

– William Wordsworth

Ask any father what he wants for Father’s Day, and the answer will be “Not another tie or golf club”. It’s easier to buy gifts for moms, considering there are so many options available for women. But when it comes to buying Father’s Day gifts for dads, it’s easy to run out of ideas. What will dads like to get on Father’s Day? Well, it depends. Does your dad like to read? Or is he one of those types who can spend hours with maps? Here are some ideas for great customized Father’s Day Gifts sure to please your dad.

Cooking Brisket in the Oven - a Beginners Guide

Cooking brisket in the oven is a time consuming process, but also a very rewarding one. When your family and friends take their first bite of your delicious brisket, they will most definitely be asking you for the recipe. This article will make you a brisket cooking pro!

Did you know that at one time, brisket was considered a very poor quality meat? History has it, that two brothers from Germany, back in the 1950′s decided to smoke up some leftover brisket they had. They left the brisket inside their smokehouse for an entire weekend. When they returned to work they sliced up the meat and served it to their customers. The meat was so flavorful and tender that it quickly became a hit.

I remember the first time I had the pleasure of eating beef brisket. It was at this fabulous little Barbecue Restaurant in Croton-On-Hudson, NY called Memphis Maes.

New York isn’t known for its BBQ, so my wife and I were a bit skeptical. But after we took our first bite of the “Texas BBQ Beef Brisket”, we became believers! My wife then looked at me and said , “You have to make this!” Not wanting to let the lovely wife down, I took it upon myself to try and recreate the BBQ brisket at home. I don’t own a smoker, so I needed to improvise and cook the brisket in the oven.

Believe it or not, the oven makes a pretty darn good BBQ brisket. Many BBQ enthusiasts will tell you that a smoker is the only way to cook brisket, but I can tell you from experience this is simply not the case.

The secret to a good beef brisket is to cook it nice and slow at around 225 degrees for several hours. So if you are looking for a quick and easy meal tonight, cooking brisket in the oven is not the way to go.

You will have to prepare this particular recipe one day in advance and you will need to plan some extra time to cook the brisket as it takes several hours to finish cooking.

Lets Talk About Dry Rubs

There are a variety of different dry rub recipes you can use for your beef brisket. One such recipe is listed below. Don’t be shy with your dry rub. You want to really coat the brisket well. Its not called a rub for nothing, so really rub those spices into the meat with your hands. After the rub has been applied put the brisket in the fridge and let it marinade over night.

DRY RUB

  • 1/4 Cup Paprika

  • 1/4 Cup Light Brown Sugar

  • 2 Tbs Chili Powder

  • 2 Tbs Kosher Salt

  • 2 Tbs Freshly Cracked Black Pepper

  • 1 1/3 Tbs Granulated Garlic

  • 1 1/3 Tbs Granulated Onion

  • 2 Tsp Ground Cumin

THE SAUCE

We need some type of liquid to slowly braise the brisket in the oven. Braising is an excellent way to cook brisket in the oven because it keeps the brisket moist and very tender.

What I do is mix some good quality store bought barbecue sauce with a little beef broth to thin it a bit. I like to use a smoke flavored barbecue sauce. To give it a little more smoky flavor, I also add a few drops of liquid smoke. This makes a very tasty braising liquid.

LETS START COOKING ALREADY!

Before we start cooking, lets do a little preparation.

Remove the brisket from the fridge and leave it on the counter for 30 minutes or so to allow it to come to room temperature.

Get yourself a baking dish with a tight fitting lid big enough to hold your brisket.

Mix equal parts of barbecue sauce and beef broth. I like to make enough so that the brisket is at least half submerged. Pour this mixture into your baking dish.

Pre-heat your oven to 225 Degrees.

Heat up a large pan over medium heat and add enough oil to cover the pan. Add the brisket to the pan and brown on all sides until it forms a nice crust.

Place the browned brisket into the baking dish with the braising liquid. Put the lid on and place it in the pre-heated oven.

About half way through the cooking process, flip the brisket over so that the other side has time to cook in the braising liquid.

The brisket is done when it is fork tender and has an internal temperature of around 185-200 degrees F. The amount of time it takes to cook a brisket in the oven really depends on the weight of the brisket. Figure 1 1/2 to 2 hours per pound of meat.

There you have it. My recipe for cooking brisket in the oven.

Types of Love in Relationship

Crazy Thing Called Love-Types of Love in Relationship/3 Most Important Components

Author: Vida C.

Love has a variety of forms and is closely related to many emotions, like desire, affection, attachment, but the most important components are passion, intimacy and commitment. These components put into the context of interpersonal relationships characterize the triangular theory of love developed by psychologist Robert Sternberg.

What is passion?  It encompasses drives that lead to romance, physical attraction, desire and sexual consummation. It clearly involves physical and sexual components and dominates our thoughts and behavior. Intimacy encompasses feelings of closeness, connectedness, deep connections characterized by communication and trust. Finally, commitment encompasses, in the short term, the decision to remain with another, and in the long term, the shared achievements and plans made with that other.

The amount and type of love that we experience depends on the absolute strength of these three components. Different stages and types of love can be explained as different combinations of these three elements. A relationship based on a single element is less likely to survive than one based on two or three elements. There can be a no love which is the absence of all three of Sternberg’s components of love.

Now let’s look at different types of love and try to identify which love you feel in your heart.

Infatuated love is pure passion. Romantic relationships often start out as infatuated love and become romantic love as intimacy develops over time. This loves overwhelms you immediately. You are full of anxiety, lack of self confidence, you think about him/her all the time. The need to see your beloved is so huge that every obstacle to do that brings you lots of pain. In this love you ask for a love confirmation and lots of attention, you are jealous and too controlling which indicates your lack of self confidence. Without developing intimacy or commitment, infatuated love may disappear suddenly.

Empty love is characterized by commitment without intimacy or passion. Sometimes, a stronger love deteriorates into empty love. In cultures in which arranged marriages are common, relationships often begin as empty love and develop into one of the other forms with the passing of time.

Romantic love bonds individuals emotionally through intimacy and physically through passionate arousal.

Companionate love is an intimate, non-passionate type of love that is stronger than friendship because of the element of long-term commitment. Sexual desire is not an element of companionate love. This type of love is often found in marriages in which the passion has gone out of the relationship but a deep affection and commitment remain. This love lacks passion and sexual desire.

Fatuous love can be exemplified by a whirlwind courtship and marriage in which a commitment is motivated largely by passion without the stabilizing influence of intimacy. A relationship, however, whereby an individual party agrees to sexual favors purely out of commitment issues, or is pressured/forced into sexual acts does not comprise Fatuous love, and instead tends more to Empty love.

Consummate love is the complete form of love, representing an ideal relationship toward which people strive. Of all the varieties of love, consummate love is theorized to be that love associated with the “perfect couple”. According to Sternberg, such couples will continue to have great sex fifteen years or more into the relationship, they cannot imagine themselves happy over the long-term with anyone else, they overcome their few difficulties gracefully, and each delight in the relationship with one other.

We have now read a number of love forms identified by psychologists and philosophers. We often see love stereotypically as a chemical game of feelings which dominate you. In love one sacrifices to get something in return. The focus is one and only- not to be alone and love someone. Because love colors our life and brings sense to it. Love gives as wings and makes us fly. Yes, it should give positive emotions.

Now look at your love. If it brings you more pain and doubts than joy, maybe you simply fool yourself and maybe it is not love…

Or maybe it is love and you made mistake when you broke up with you lover, partner…And now you are confused because you want your ex back but don’t know how.
